5 Go to a Museum
Living near a city helps with this one, but there are smaller museums of all kinds in odd places. Reading a book about history just isn’t the same as actually going to a museum, seeing artifacts and reading about them, pointing out interesting things you noticed to your partner, having a light lunch at the café close by, and maybe getting a souvenir to send to Aunt Fanny.
4 See a Play
Seeing a play is very different than seeing a movie.Watching actors and actress’ amazing talents in actual time is much more breathtaking and really brings you into the moment rather than into a screen.Plays are generally more interactive as well.Look for plays near you that sound good and try one out, but if you hate musicals (like my partner), just make sure you see one with less music.There are all kinds of variances on plays, from tiny hole-in-the-wall student plays to grand plays that have played for years all over the world, made into movies and such (e.g. Phantom of the Opera).
3 Go on a Picnic
Picnics seem old-fashioned, but they are still such a wonderful way to relax while enjoying simple homemade fair, nice weather, the sound of wind in the trees and simple, easy conversation and reminiscings of what life was like before baby and how it will continue to get better. Bring wine if you like, fruit, sandwiches, cut vegetables and hummus and guacamole for some fun foods to snack on.
2 Go Fishing
Fishing is fun, whether you actually catch fish or not.It’s an adventure, getting the right bait for the right fish, getting fishing poles, setting everything up, heading to the river or lake, sitting on the bank or getting in the boat – it’s always a good time.Reconnecting while getting everything prepared, and then just sitting and waiting is a great way to bring the world to a sort of standstill, where all that matters is your immediate surroundings.

Going on a hike is an excellent option for all of us nature lovers, and going out for a stroll among the plants is a great way to reconnect to one another by moving together, breathing fresh air together, stopping for fruit snacks together, looking at beautiful views together, and simply being together amongst high vibration surroundings.There are plenty of sites online that cover the hikes in national and state parks.
